Threads Video Download Not Working? Fixes to Try
Find practical fixes for a Threads video download that fails because a post is private, deleted, restricted, or temporarily unavailable.
Download Threads media in three steps
- 1Confirm that the link starts with https://www.threads.net/ or https://threads.net/.
- 2Make sure the post is public and still available.
- 3Remove extra text around the link and try again.
- 4If the service is busy, wait a moment and retry.
Use a public Threads post URL. No login or app installation is required.
Threads DownloaderCopy a public link
Open the public Threads post, choose Share, and copy its link. A public URL normally starts with threads.net or threads.com.
Save on iPhone or Android
On iPhone, open the result in Safari and use the share sheet or Save to Photos. On Android, open the result in Chrome and use the download control.
Know the limits
Private, deleted, restricted, or region-limited posts may not parse. Remove extra text around a link and try the current public URL again.
Use media responsibly
Only save media you are allowed to use. Keep attribution where appropriate and follow the creator’s rights and platform rules.
